Helping good dogs find good people
Bangtail Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping find good homes for dogs in need. We work with all breed of dogs, but our specialty is working with deaf dogs, especially the herding breeds. Deaf dogs make excellent pets in the right homes. They're not too different from hearing dogs, you just use hand signals in training. There are many deaf dogs that compete in agility and obedience trials and some even do search and rescue work! Bangtail Dog Rescue strives to find the right dog for the right people. Jackie Loeser, founder of Bangtail Dog Rescue is a certified pet dog trainer and is available to answer any questions and help new owners with any training issues that may arise with a new pet. Our goal is to keep the dog in the new home for life!
Money donated to Bangtail Dog Rescue goes to help with transportation of dogs to their forever homes, vet care and food for our dogs and to help out other rescues when we can. Your donation is tax deductible.

Help the dogs at Bangtail by ordering all your dog books through our link to Dogwise!! We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like to donate a bed to us, click here. |
Dogs in need of homes:
Tripper

Tripper is a 5 month old deaf Border Collie. He has some vision issues, too, but he can see well enough to get around, chase a ball, and learn hand signals. He is very sweet and willing to learn. He really needs a home of his own.
"Putt-Putt"
Needs a home!

Putt-Putt is a nine month old deaf Australian Cattle Dog. He is located in Florida and his foster parents would really like to find him a home of his own. He is a real sweetie and needs someone who has the time to work with him. If you are interested in Putt-Putt please contact Emmie Lou at el.tucker@mchsi.com.

Bangtail Dog Rescue's dogs are all temperament tested before being made available for adoption. We do our best to screen dogs for any possible aggression problems, but realize that there are never any guarantees as to a dog's temperament. We are always available to help the dog's new family with any concerns or questions they may have and we will always take any of our dog's back, for any reason. We do not take responsibility for any dog listed on this site that is not owned by Bangtail. We list dogs for other organizations as a service to them and cannot attest to the temperament of these dogs unless otherwise noted.
